I have just put a set of pg blues with caps and pots into a vos 59 and have been very impressed with the change to the guitar that it has made.
With a direct comparison to my franks/moore 59 I have to say that there is very little difference and only noticeable playing them back to back. . . . I honestly cant say which I prefer they are that close!
The only immediate difference is you do seem to get feedback at full vol/tone but this is due to the unpotting of the pickups which can be done if thats what you want. . . I think I prefer the authenticity of them as they are.
It was the advice/suggestion from a well respected guitarist that I initially did this change to the franks as he considered them to be better than the bb2&3 that are in there but I thought I would try the 59 first to make the comparison which I am keeping them in there now!
With respect to the guys at bareknuckle the advice and service was first class as was the aftersales advice.
If you are after that out of phase unique sound then these are the ones!
