I'm looking to replace the stock humbuckers on my 2010 LP Custom. I'm a fan of the Metallica/Zakk Wylde active pickup tone but I could never get on with EMGs as I've always found them too stiff and lacking in dynamics. I also play a wide variety of material in two covers bands, including GNR, Zep and Aerosmith, and for this stuff I need passives. What would be a good choice?
