The BG50's are telepu's for sure, but don't have this icepicky topend. Like most BKP's they are balanced, but with great stringseparation. They don't mud up. You hear all the frequencies. The high ones too, but in a pleasant way. They OD very well, especially the BG50-bridge which is around 10k. The 52-set is great too. I play a lot of distorted stuff on my tele. Big driven solotones, no problem, even on full treble. However with the toneknob on a tele you can all sort of tones. I use it a lot, sometimes too make ZZ-Top kind of sounds.
