OK
So, picking up a Jackson SL4 (Japanese neck-through soloist) tomorrow.
It has a Schaeler trem? (believe) anyone know if an Original Floyd Rose will fit it without issues/modding?

if it has a schaller, you have no need to fit an OFR.

As far as I know, schaller built most of the old OFR's (and possibly the new ones too), and the schaller version is supposedly even better (or at least as good as) an OFR.

If it truly does have a schaller, you just got one heck of a good guitar for the money!

Schaller even made the prototypes for mr. floyd rose when he was designing the speedloader, it should be *atleast* as good as an OFR.

I fitted an original floyd rose in replacement for a licensed one (i.e. a floyd rose 2).  The only difference was the post sizes, but otherwise a straight fit.
