Tim Mills

Isn't it great to deal with a company where the guy that runs it (and is the creative force behind it) replies to your e-mails personally ? I've had some great correspondence with Tim. Top bloke. Also, Martin Kidd from Cornford amps.  British craftsmanship at it's best. My guitars are still all American although I'd get them from Martyn Booth if I could afford it.

Yup, it's great!

Got my guitar custom made by our very own BKP forumite WezV too, although my amp is a 5150-II so that's not British Boutique unfortunately, and nor is the DAR FBM-100 I'm gassing over either...

Tim rocks. Being able to ring him up and have a chat has proved invaluable. Top bloke, too.

Bob Johnson from legra guitars, also a BK member, is similarly awesome. We spent weeks (months even) going over the designs of my legras in meticulous detail.

Both fellas definitely go above and beyond the call of just basic 'good customer service'.

My amps are all off the shelf with no bias to nationality, though (I have no national bias for any gear, but custom stuff from overseas is impractical) - engl, VHT, marhsall with bogner and orange cabs. I had an MJW for a bit (and entertained a custom off him), but didnt deal with martin much (where I did he was also very good, though).

The amazing customer service I've had from Tim, Jonathan at Feline Guitars and Dennis Cornell are some of the main reasons I'm always happy to spend money with them. Good service and excellence in craftsmanship make the world a better place.

Telerocker wrote exactly what was in my mind when I was reading this thread. Judging from my own experience and that of other members, we have a group of craftsmen who participate in this forum who are all top notch  and long may it continue.

Indeed we do - I've only really dealt with Martin (MJW) and Jonathan (Feline) on here (as well as Tim) and they have been top notch in quality of work and service.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is the best forum going (IMO) and is the only one I post regularly too.

Keep up the good work!
I think I hate being indecisive.

this forum makes me wish i was local to the U.K. for guitar gear. getting pickups through the mail to canada is no biggie, but a rockin' 6 string and destructive fan fret 9 string from respectively feline and daemoness and then a sweet low wattage MJW power amp with matching cab through the mail would be a bit overkill on customs XD

My BK's:
Black Dog8-Riff Raff8 / Black Dog7-Mule7
C-Bomb Set / Blackhawk Bridge
Holydiver Set/ BG50 Set

I've never actually needed to contact Tim myself (I've always managed to get the info I need for decision-making from the BKP site and from ... all the fine folks on this forum :D).

HOWEVER - it is very comforting to know that Tim and his chaps are there and ready to answer questions they way that they do. Superb work guys.

And a thumbs up from me as well for Jonathan of Feline Guitars :D

Dunno about pickup makers and luthiers, but in canada you have peters and mako. from my limited investigative dealings with each, james and andrew are top guys with top amps.

Edit - mako is US, actually but close enough ;)
