Hi guyz.
I am an owner of a CS ESP MIII DELUXE. The body is ash (one piece), maple neck (one piece) ,rosewood fingerboard.
I play from power progressive, to death metal. Iwould like recommendations for pick ups. My guitar is HSS, so i also need info on single coils too.
My equip is mesa rectifier half stack and a rack which include the ADA MP1, mesa 90/90 and orange 4X12 cab with vintage 30's.
The tuning of the guitar is C,F,A#,D#,G,C.
I already tried the naibomb which i use on a Jackson KV2T, but the result was negative. Too much tremble and harshy sound.
So, gimme your advice.
Thanx in advance

Do you have any recorded music where you play?

Ash is a bright tone wood and the Nailbomb doesn't suit me. That's why i'm talking about tremble and harshy sound.
On the other hand itsuits perfectly with the KV2T because she's all mahogany and stringthrough.

Dude, he's Greek so he probably doesn't have a native english level. I think one joke is enough, but two and no contribution to the thread it's certainly not what the OP wants.

To the OP, Ash has a somewhat scooped sound with good lows and highs. You could definetly take a look at the Holydiver if you want a more organic kind of sound, or the Warpig if you're going with sheer brutality.

It's a bit of a range of styles if I read your descriptions accurately. In a way, I agree with Emperoff that the Holydiver will work really well in that guitar but it's a much smoother and more fluid pickup than I normally associate with Death Metal. It would be fine with the Power Progressive stuff though. Clearly the Nailbomb wasn't what you were after and I suspect the Painkiller won't suit you either. The Aftermath might be OK as it's very tight and I imagine will work well for the Death Metal but not as well as the Holydiver on the progressive material. That leaves the Alnico Warpig as the only other option I can think of.

If you want a really huge sound that sounds kinda brutal, go with the Warpig and if you want something a bit more verstile and less extreme go with the Holydiver. As for the single coils, I'd opt for Trilogy Suites to pair with the Holydiver and Sinners to go with a Warpig.
