So finally we have got round to doing a proper recording! Our EP entitled Fatally Punched In The Face will be out on 26th May 2011. I have the first run of CDs here, and am getting very excited in expectation of the gig we're playing on the 26th to launch the album!
The tracks were recorded and mixed by Tim Lovegrove (guitarist in local punk heroes
Junkie Brush), very good friend of the band, and extremely capable musician and engineer who has helped us enormously with this production - huge thanks, Tim!
The tracks were mastered by the BKP forum's very own
MDV. I want to point out here what a pleasure it was to work with Mark on these recordings - he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and I hope you'll agree when you hear the final product, capable! Anyone looking to do recording/mixing/mastering - get in touch with Mark,
I thoroughly recommend his work!!The guitar used is my Wez Venables Vociferator in drop A loaded - for this recording in October - with a Miracle Man bridge. I now use an Aftermath, which I prefer for live use and for this style, but the MM is also a fantastic pickup!
