Hell - the band
« on: May 14, 2011, 09:37:07 PM »
I have to admit that I had never heard of this band (originally from the 80s) until I saw the link to this video, as posted by their guitarist in a Hamer forum recently, but as a long standing fan of metal I have to say I am impressed. Although the imagery is OTT and probably not to everyone's taste, IMHO the music is classic metal and is particularly well done.

I don't normally post links to music videos but I thought this one deserved it!

Anyone else like it?

when I hear the vocals i can't help thinking that Geddy Lee bumped into Anton Lavey and decided Rush wasn't what he was about any more.

saw it the other day, I hadn't heard of them either but as Andy Sneap is the other guitarist I suspect his name is what got the label interested

A couple people have mentioned these chaps on the Damnation Fest facebook suggesting we book them, usually alongside people like Ghost or The Devils Blood - who're very different.

I think they're dreadful.

I didn't spy initially that it's Andy Sneap on one of the guitars. Seemingly it used to be Martin Walkyier on vocals, too. Sabbat it is not.

There's some funny fan-tantrums about them reforming after 24 years (having split up when the vocalist/leader killed himself) with Sneap production and big budget videos. I love "Why don't they think of the REAL fans" muppets
