Warpig doing Iced Earth (Triamp, Caparison content)
« on: May 18, 2011, 02:46:40 PM »
So I replaced my Savage 120 with this Hughes & Kettner Triamp MK1 I got earlier this week and quickly recorded a tone test clip.
Here's the thread I made on sevenstring.org when I got the amp (with a lot of pics)

Used my Horus black night with Warpig/Sinner set for this one.

Wolfman :D

Sick chops, but another pickup for that song would have been optimal :)

Thanks! Yeah, probably another pickup/guitar would've been better rhythm wise... but it was first I grabbed and started to play  8)

Tight playing dude. You want a Riff Raff for the real lean Schaffer low end :)

Cheers!  :D

Yeah I think my Caparison Angelus (with HDs) would've been more suitable as well but... :)

killer picking  :D

what channel is that?
less gain and more master volume could probably make it much tighter (channel volume tend to make things warmer)
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

Cheers!

It's the 3B channel, here's them settings for rhythm. I didn't use any boost, just guitar -> amp:

The lead settings were the same except mids at 2 o'clock and gain at 9 o'clock.

I like it better in this tuning. This is a better sounding track than the original, IMO. I feel the original is too thin sounding. You Scandinavians are amazing.
