OK So I'm loving the Holydiver Bridge in my Rico7 now the neck?

The Liquifire that's in there has got to go. Why dimarzio insists on making all of their 7 string pickups ceramic is beyond me.
I've had a couple of suggestions thrown at me.
the type of sound I'm looking for (for this particular guitar) is something akin to what Satch gets on the track "crystal Planet"
I want something somewhat chimy not overly thick, something similar to a duncan jazz.
So far what's been suggested to me  to match the HD bridge
is
HD neck --duh I guess I could start there I haven't heard any high gain clips of it
the Emerald Neck
the Abraxas neck
this is a bright guitar so I need something with some warmth but I'm not looking for an EMG 707 type of neck
pick up sound

So who's got some good suggestions for me?

BTW I can't state enough how much I like the HD bridge pickup. I should've started with that in the first place.

If you want similar to a Jazz IMHO I would stay away from the AIV Emerald or Abraxas! and maybe go for a Mule AV! I have one and it sounds very good! the HD neck is also a stunning pickup I don't find it to be like the Jazz, but a great match for your HD bridge.

Definitely consider the HD neck as your main option. However, if you've not tried the VHII neck yet this could be a good opportunity to!

If you've got a liquifire pickup in there and you only don't like it bcoz it's ceramic, why don't you try the coldsweat neck. It's basically like a pimped out version of the liquifire that sounds so much better

I had a coldsweat neck matched with a nailbomb in another 7 I used to have and really liked it, but was looking to maybe just try something different before I went back to a old "stand by".
Hmmmm anyone know what the the HD neck is modeled after or based on (like the bridge with the JB)?
or better yet a toanl comaprison between the CS neck and HD neck?

You really can't make a mistake with either HD, VHII,or CS I have them all as well as NBs and I find them all amazing! I tend to favour the HD and VHII necks as both of these are very balanced in their eq, it could also have a bit to do with the guitars that they are in also! you have the CS neck, I would go for the HD.

I'd really love to hear what pickup the HD neck is based on, too. Is it "PAF-ish" in any way or what? Seems that with the low output it should clean up very well and sound very open!

Decided to go with the HD neck, called Nick at the Axe Palace and the order is in!
