Warpigs for Jazz?
« on: May 26, 2011, 07:18:15 AM »
"However it soon found uses as diverse as jazz and fusion". The EQ makes sense but using the highest output pickups the company makes doesn't. Does anybody have any experience using Warpigs for low gain music, especially fusion? And how do you guys like the Warpig in basswood?

There have been a number of French jazz guys who adopted the Warpig. With it's high output an amp with plenty of clean headroom would be recommended and/or keep the guitar's volume low.

It sounds very full and warm in basswood.

I sometimes wonder if those French jazz guys are an urban myth.  They don't visit the forum.... maybe it's the language barrier.

Can't tell about French jazz guys using Warpigs, but some "French jazz guy" friend of mine used to play on a Di Marzio X2N mounted guitar plugged into a JCM900 combo. No joke...
