My band has split up
« on: January 13, 2006, 09:34:37 PM »
No, not the rockabilly band, that's fine.

My other band split up. Our keyboard player had to quit due to surcomstances and this week the drummer quit. And no, I'm not sad. Actually, I'm quite happy. The band was going nowhere anyway and I could care less about 80% of the music we were playing.

It's time for me to start on something new and return to my roots. I wanna start/join a band witch plays heavy, high energy rock. Like Metallica, Guns n' Roses, AC/DC, Green Day, Ozzy etc.

Cheers!

It looks like it shouldn't be too much of a problem starting this band. A mate of mine is pretty much into the same music as I am. He's also a big U2 fan, so we could do some of that too.

I'll contact him soon, he's very busy with other music projects and he works at a restaurant, so I hope he has some time to spare.

There are plenty of people that like this kind of music but, strangely enough, there aren't many bands that play it.

There's plenty of metal, hard/grindcore and punk bands that don't play that kind of music and then alot of pop bands that'll do the occasional Metallica song.

It's time to get a 'freight train' on stage.

Your absolutely right.

Now where did i leave my Talent?

As soon as I find it I'll start writing good songs.

Actually to be a bit more serious I do agree with what your getting at, for that reason I've started learning only AC/DC, The Living End and U2 songs. I'll then take these ideas and use them as inspiration for my own stuff.

I think a mix of the two would be an interesting style that people would really switch onto. After all if the biggest fan of your style of music is yourself then you cant really lose, or to be more precise you wont lose inspiration to keep making music.

And once again.... Just move to OZ and start a band here I'm in
