What would you suggest for this? Gibson Les Paul std 1960 Reissue.
Rebel Yells?

I think that depends on the guitar/woods too.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

That's a nice one. If you like Steven Stevens tone, punch/agressiveness in the uppermids, tight bass and serious output, the RY's are to be looked at for sure.

Isn't it maybe too deserted for mids?

As long as your guitar isn't too dark, I'd go for the Holy Diver or even Warpig to achieve that real thick sound with loads of sustain. In a dark guitar, the Nailbomb would work very well, and would be preferable to the Rebel Yell for that sound.

I love candlemass! Seriously the best bands in their genre!
i think the voicing matches my painkiller alot! Especially the attack and the mid spike.

The Painkiller could be a good call actually! Depends on the amp though - Jofipe, what rig do you okay through?

My guitar isnt very dark for a LP.. Sorta medium. It by farmnot as middy as my 08 std.

I have different amps, but my fave is the Boogie Mark V on the mark 2c+ setting that I run through maxon od808I'm a sucker for this crispy creamy high mid and the super tight low end also found is jcm800s... But in a different way. I want an open breathing tone with pressence. I had a warpig... Was not what I was
Looking for.

I really don't wanna push too much bass, I like the high end to be very clear and sparkly. A bit like this candlemass video.
I have an emerald right now... I LOVE the top end, but I want a
bit more mid punch.
That's why I was thinking Rebel Yell.
But yeah... Painkiller might be cool!

@candlemass lover. I actually played a show a few weeks ago with Messiah joining on vocals playing Gallows End. It was a fantastic moment for me ;)

We are prolly gonna do more shows with the monk.

Mr marcolin is such an awesome singer.

Back to the subject.
If you use a mesa mark v, then consider something other than the painkiller. If you go marshall then definetly the painkiller.

The mark v is.. well i only tried a mark iv, but that was very.. different from a marshall :P Maybe a holy diver as nolly suggested.

Hmm, I actually think the Painkiller could work well with the Mark V in the IIC+ mode. That said, either Rebel Yell should give you the extra punch you're after based off your experience with the Emerald. I'd back down on my recommendation of the Holy Diver after the further details you've given.

Hmmm let me put it a bit different :)
I want a but of this liquid Marshall top end through my Boogie..   Would you still say Painkiller? Wouldnt it be too compressed and "girthy"?

I absolutely get that top end with the Emeralds..  however as I said, I like a bit more mids for leads... and maybe a degree more output.

The only thing I want is the most awesome open sound available for my setup ;)
