Trilogy Suite

It's funny how things change.

I installed a TS set into my Charvel recently - wasn't overly enamoured with the result - they just sounded too thick to me.  Kinda regretted buying them and wished I'd gone for an IT set instead.

However...

I've been playing with them pretty much constantly for a couple of weeks now, and I think that they are AWESOME!  It's taken some mental adjustment and working out how to get the best from them, but they now sound like the PERFECT set of hot Strat pickups.  I reckon that they can do pretty much anything.

Adding a push/pull pot to allow bridge/neck and all 3 in parallel helps - bridge and neck sounds GREAT!

Anyway, thought I'd share.

Mark.

I'm glad you got to like them and your thoughts certainly reflect my experiences. I find them to be astonishingly versatile given their description and I was pleasantly surprised that they sound good doing anything from Blues to Metal.
