Since this a bright guitar which pickups would you avoid? I have heard stay away from the Cold Sweats. What others from any of the lines vintage, contemporary etc.? Has anyone had any experience with a pickup they did not like in this wood combo or specific guitar? Alder wings, maple neck through, and ebony board.

Depends what sound combo you are going for
I have found that the Miracle man works well if looking for a tight old school metal sound
Also A Holy Diver would be good for a fatter more organic tone

I'm pretty much set on Holy Divers for this particular guitar but I may get pickup crazy with this one at some point. Just wondering which pickups would not work well in this guitar.

Pickups that work well in this woodcombi are I think: Warpig, Aftermath, Holy Diver, Crawler, Abraxas, Black Dog, VHII. Different puppies, so it depends at the tone you are after.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

... a bright guitar ... Alder wings, maple neck through, and ebony board.

If I wanted a pickup to compliment a bright guitar I would not choose anything too bright or too little power. In the BKP line the vintage models would not be the first choice, as would be the Cold Sweat and Rebel Yell. On the other hand a bright pickup could serve well if you wanted to accent that frequency range with that particular guitar.

Cheers Stephan

I can testify to the fact that the Holydiver is awesome in that sort of guitar. Others I think would work would be Miracle Man, Warpig, Crawler.
BKP owned:

Bridge - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; A-Bomb; Holydiver; Miracle Man; Sinner; Trilogy Suite

Neck - Emerald; Cold Sweat; Crawler; Holydiver; Sinner; Trilogy Suite
