simms watts (again)- what price amp experts?????

ok so the last simms-watts 100 watt head i found got too expensive and was in pretty rough condition. however, i've found a guy who wants to sell his. he says its in pristine condition- barely a scratch on it........ oh yeh except for ALL THE VALVES!!!

now that sudden outburst of panic might sound ridiculous to you amp experts but i have no idea how much valves cost and seeing as its a valve amp then they seem pretty crucial to me...

anyway, how much do you think an aestheticallyl pristine simms-watts 100 watt head with blown valves and fuse is worth because he wants me to make "a respectable offer".

any info much appreciated because i really want this amp but dont want to get conned.

I can't help you I'm afraid, but it's always worth looking at google. See if you can find any, see what they're going for etc.

yeh i did try that a while ago, i found a few in "ok", working condition for a few hundred pounds but having said that ive seen a couple for like £1000 but i have no idea if they're the exact same model or whatever.

there's so little information on them though it's ridiculous
