For anyone who has the Ceramic Nailbomb Bridge and/or Cold Sweat Neck

I'm going to be getting these pickups shortly and I would like people to tell me what they think of them and how they suit their music etc. I'd be really greatful if you could elaborate and make an essay out if it if you have the time. I've seen the main C-Bomb reviews so there's no need to paste links to other reviews. I'm just trying to get opinions from everyone I can do. :)

Hey- I have a ceramic nailbomb calibrated set. I really like it so far and im still to unlock its full potential as i havent had it that long. I find its sound to have lots of depth and sounds fantastic through my Mesa. I did find it to be kinda scooped, or to be more specific it has more of the low mids - this isnt a problem when playing by yourself or recording but i did find that when playing in a band context I had to alter my EQ settings to project the mids more as it wasnt cutting through as well as maybe an Alnico V Nailbomb would. Thats the only 'fault' i can find with it, and its not really a fault at all, its just getting used to its particular voicing and what frequencies it emphasis more/less of. And as usual it varies from guitar to guitar. Mine is a PRS SE 24 mahogany body btw.

So for me a C-Bomb in 3 words: Tight, Deep, Massive :-)

So rather than you telling us your application, what you like and making, let's say, a single 'essay out of it', you're asking all the other people to make an essay out of it each? Jeeez!

I've seen a lot of people respond with answers like "the neck is PAFish" and the bridge "handles a lot of gain and is tight". I'm wanting peoples opinions more in depth rather than single sentence answers which have been said a million times. Also if I was to say the kind of music I was using it for, I'd prob only get people responding who play that music saying things like "yeah it's ideal for that style". I want to hear peoples opinions from all angles down to the smallest detail. I think that's a fair thing to ask, if people can't be bothered explaining, they won't; if people want to share their opinions, they will. No harm in asking is there :D

I like this small review, really makes you think about how ya guitar can sound at home, then at a band rehearsal. Btw what amp are you using? I'm thinking of going for a Mesa Mark IV :)

Hey-im using a Mesa Single Rectifier, havent played a Mark IV but i think the rectifiers are supposed to be dark sounding anyways. Plus my speaker has 4 G12T-75s in it (which again are a bit scooped). So in total you could say im playing though quite a dark setup-dark guitar wood (mahogany)-low mid pickups(Cbomb)-Dark head(mesa single) - scooped cab(marshall 1960a),so no wonder i have to crank the mids at band practice :-)
But my stock Prs pickups (that i hade before changing to nailbombs) had more of a mid hump so i didnt need to overly boost my mids in a live situation-food for thought :-)

What do you make of the Nailbomb neck pickup?I haven't found anyone that's really explained it much, I find more people explaining the Cold Sweat neck

Again i havent played with the pickups for long enough yet, as i had setup issues with my guitar which meant it was coming and going from guitar techs for over a month. It didnt wow me as much as the bridge pickup did, but then again im more of a rhythm player so i spend more time on the bridge anyways. Once ive had a longer play with it i could give you a true representation. So far ive found it to be warm, smooth and responsive-chuck some delay on it and it sings nicely, i wouldve preferred it to have some more bite, but again i dont want to give to many explanations when i havent given it a fair trial :-)
