Well I've mentioned about the 60's necks killing my hands, so after finally getting rid of Burny, this beauty has come in!Apparently it's an MIJ strat that got caught in a house fire, seeing as Jef (the last owner) didn't want to lose it he sanded back & did the following mods:
Fender Abigail Ybarra Custom Shop signed 69 pickups
CTS Cryogenic pots
Vintage Cap
Aluminium Shielding plate beneath Scratchplate
Callaham vintage style trem unit and Callaham Steel block
1960s Neck Plate
USA Kluson Vintage tuners
Bone nut (aged at Mansons on its last setup)
Black 3 ply Fender Scratchplate slightly burnt Because there's no finish on the thing sounds amazing! strike a chord & it'll play for years, almost like an acoustic and it's probably the lightest strat I've ever owned or played, TBH I can't wait to play it in the blues band I'm setting up, will really go hell for leather me thinks
Some pics that Jef sent me of it
