Peavey 6534+ anyone?

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with this amp? I'm wanting a 6505 but I'm wondering how they compare, etc.

Well. Probably the same, just with a looser bottom end, british voicing and a smoother top..

Worse if you ask me xD and it probably costs more than the good ol' 6l6 powered 6505+(rapemachine)

Agree with the above. I bought a second hand 5150-II (=6505+), and it's brilliant. Been going for years with me, and years before that with the usual occasional valve swap/care required as for any tube amp. Built like an absolute tank, and a lot cheaper second hand than new. I would do the same again (if I don't end up buying a DAR amps FBM-100...)

The 6505 was designed around the 6L6. I generally prefer EL34s, but even I'd buy a regular 6505 rather than the 6534.
