The Union - new band

For anyone into blues/rock, Luke Morley of 'Thunder' fame has a new project with Pete Shoulder on vocals. 

Sounds good, he seems really enthused about it too - which is more than he appeared to be on the last few times I've seen Thunder.

The album's been out for a bit, and a second one is due soon.

I wasn't sure at first, but the album is a real grower.  I'm looking forward to the next one.

It's too lightweight and American sounding (or something) for me.... not a patch on Thunder (or even Terraplane) at their best.  Although they were frequently below their best.

Saw them live recently and was a bit underwhelmed sad to say

I've followed Luke since about 1985 and was a big Terraplane fan and loved early Thunder too

Maybe I should check out the album though ....

The album is good from the first few listens - its not Thunder, but then again I don't think thats what they're aiming for.
