non-reverse Firdbird anyone?
« on: August 12, 2011, 04:04:55 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has experience with these guitars.  The FB studio with three P90s looks particularly tasty at £1099...

I've always liked the way FB's look - Steve Clark used one, so they're cool in my book.

I saw that on the Gibson site the other day and thought [Leslie Phillips]Hello![/Leslie Phillips]

Then I saw "Slim Taper Neck".  Bah.

Still looks a cool guitar though.  I had a (reverse) Firebird Studio with two humbuckers for a while, it was pretty good although there was some trademark Gibson sloppy workmanship involved.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

if they sell them off at some point for around £899 then they'd be well worth a punt.

That's a dealbreaker for me as well. I love the look of both the reverse and non-reverse Firebird, but I would install full size HBs in either...
