I have my Miracle Man as of yesterday

I put it in a MIJ Jackson Rhoads. Maple neck, Alder body.

First thoughts after fiddling with it for a bit are:

Like the top end
Like the amount of bass
Like the feel
Wish the mids had more.... I don't know. I like the amount of mids, but I'd like to hear something more going on with them. It's not really chewy like some other pups I've had in the guitar. Bah, it's extremely close to an ideal sound but not quite there. I think it may do well in another guitar which is 99.99 percent finished, but tomorrow's trip to my luthier/guitar building mentor will take it all the way and I can finally play(and post pics of) the damn thing(when I actually have spare time).

Still, it's good pup. I like most of it and hopefully a mostly Wenge(and constructed better) guitar will take the mids to a place I'd love. Based on the quality in general I am thinking I'll buy a Cold Sweat neck next week to finish out my BKP curiosity for awhile. I do love those CS lead tones on the new Jag Panzer.

Stick a ts808 or similar in your chain that should give you what you need in the mids for now.

I find that the MM works best in basswood or mahogany

Cheers, Tony. I have a TS type boost in at all times. I think it may be the guitar.
