thanks AndyR!! great help there!!

i think id like them, im a big Gallagher, SRV, Philip Sayce, Scott McKeon etc, all big fret users.

well my strat came with the old school vintage frets that only lasted a year.  i then got 6100s put on it, i liked them but i found them a bit bumpy, but i think maybe that because they where tall but still on the slimmer side.
but im thinking the 6000's may have a more balanced hight and thickness.

That's interesting, I've never actually handled a USA 62ri - but I've always kind of expected it to have a nice meaty-ish neck (like my 60s Roadworn, and my CIJ "62").

The American Vintage '62 Strat necks are actually pretty skinny (at least the one I had was).  A really nice rounded C shape, and the gloss finish feels nice.... but not big at all.  Not terribly different from the "Modern C" shape on American Standards, but maybe getting a little deeper by the 12th fret.

I don't know how accurately they reflect real '60s Strats - as I understand it they were really skinny in '59 and '60, a little chunkier in '61, then got slimmer again.  But maybe individual guitars varied a lot!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

But the 6000 are even taller as well as wider than the 6100, so presumably they'd feel more bumpy/scalloped?  Maybe you should consider something wide but not as tall - like 6150 maybe?

It could be 6000......or it could be 6120 - kind of hard to tell from a photo
