....so why not fess up and see what abuse I get?
You crazy nob-end!

It makes sense of the Pearly sale for me now. Even though you'd established the fact that a Les Paul just wasn't for you (and that made perfect sense to me), I just couldn't see how once you'd got your hands on a fine and prestigeous representation of your fave guitarist's iconic guitar, bought and paid for, why you'd feel the need to move it on. I saw no problem with hanging on to it even though it wasn't likely to gig - you'd still get big enjoyment out of owning it and having a bit of a "Billy moment" in the living room every now and then. Unless of course... you needed to fund something else that was even more important!
I had a feeling there must be something in the pipeline. Not at all surprised it's a guitar starting with "P", but I wouldn't have been surprised if it was unrelated to music and we never got to hear of it either.
Guitar itself - with the pics of brown guitars I was thinking "yeah, whatever floats your boat...". It looks well classy, etc, etc, but doesn't grab me. But then the green - wow, yeah, that's gonna look fab! :D
I still have slight reservations about the look of the pickups, but I'd soon get used to them. Btw, I've just noticed in these pics - the bridge and neck pickups are different sizes... that's not my imagination is it?
Anyway, nice one, hope the wait doesn't seem too long.
