Aaargh!  Now I'll never find out if it's any good!

You weren't tempted to wait that one more week?

It seemed clear to me that it would be good.. but I'm not even tempted to wait one more week. I know Thomann has an amazing returns policy but still.. ;)

The main point is that I am still in the process of trying to buy a house and could do with coin at the moment. At the same time, I've got two guitars on order.. One of them I am very much still hot for, and the other (this Fireman) I'm starting to wonder if I really need. Was an easy decision to cancel the order really. If I have pay for the other guitar at some point in the next few weeks, it might also be tricky.. Two would have been impossible, and I much rather the other guitar.

I just remembered, I saw one of the original korina models at GuitarGuitar in Epsom (how could I forget?  :o  )

Didn't ask to try it though, far too scarily expensive.

For the price of the one hanging in Guitar guitar - I will make you one , and a matching Iceman to go with it

Well, if I was going custom...... I like the korina, I like the pickups, I like the big neck.... but if the world were my oyster,  I don't think I'd bother with either of those body shapes!

Here's a bit of threadnomancy for you but I thought these (Japan only) new Firemen (Firemans?) were really cool:

The yellow is pretty cool, although I don't like the single-ply white scratchplate.

I'd still like to try one of these..... felt a slight flare-up of GAS there.....

I'm usually not into the more funky body shapes like this, but something about it just looks so cool.

I tried an FRM100 in GuitarGuitar Edinburgh, and was disappointed.

I have two Jap PGM's (301 and 500), and thought it lacked the quality of these guitars.

I didn't even rate it compared to my Indonesian Iceman (loaded with Cold Sweats ;)

I wanted to love it, but just couldn't.

Some kind of white (vintage white?) would have been better though.

Fireman GAS again.. Good threadnomancy :)

Korina would have been perfect.

But I assume that would've blown the production costs budget?

I respect your wide knowledge of guitars Philly, but even you are sadly mistaken. Its quite well known that almost any guitar shape looks the best in some shade of white :-P
