i think that is something people forget that it is still a pickup. no matter what pickup you have your going to have to work around your rig especially if you a audiophile.i have been reading people selling there pickup/pickups because of certain frequency they didn't like i think use an eq pedal if you don't like a frequency just don't cut something that is in the guitars important frequency range.

I agree 100%. Predistortion EQ is definitely something everyone should look into if they are not happy right off the bat, even more so if it's almost correct. What goes in really does set the stage for what's coming out.
