And we think we have bad luck
« on: September 01, 2011, 09:38:31 AM »
I have agonised for a couple of hours whether I should post this here, so apologies if anybody thinks it's inappropriate. The story was brought to my attention by my son who knew Terri the mum.

We all tend to complain about our lot on occassions but this puts everything into perspective. I'm sure if anyone wants to help with the fund it would be appreciated.

Gulp, it does rather put things in perspective.

God that's awful :-(

What a horrible disease. I read about a successful use of a targeted virus in a small sample of people on the BBC today, I can only hope that new treatments continue to come about and prove successful.

A little good news - the response to Billie's story has been incredible with donations coming from all over the world. She will be flying to America in the next week with her parents to start treatment in a pioneering clinic.
