HSH Jem Style Wiring????
« on: September 12, 2011, 07:12:09 PM »
OK, I've gone and tied myself in knots again...

I have some "allsorts" humbuckers that I thought I'd try out in my Hum Single Hum Ibanez RG570..

Hum Bridge
Split
Trilogy RWRP
Split
Hum Neck

Now.. Position 2 isn't hum cancelling

          Position 4 is....

Where am I going wrong?

I just need outside eyes!

You can either flip the magnet or go for the other coil in the bridge pickup.
So many pickups, so little time

If the humbuckers are different makes they don't necessarily have the same orientation of the magnets, so the screw coil may be "North" on one but not the other.

Have you tried putting the humbuckers face-to-face, to see if they repel each other?  Then turn one 180 degrees and they should be attracted to each other.  :bisou:
