Hi guys !
I own a very nice black Fender Strat Squier JV.It's from 1983 and 100% original (USA pu's etc.).Untouched.As you probably know, these Japan Vintage were the first Fender made in Japan and they are kind of famous for their quality.I need to sell it to fund another guitar (etc.).How much can i sell it for?The condition is a 9/10.Any help appreciated as i try to motivate myself to do what has to be done  8)!

Rosewood or maple fingerboard?

Could be £700-£800 to the right buyer?

Last time I looked £600ish average and as Dave says a bit higher to the right buyer.

Is it a JV badged 'Squier' or a JV badged 'Fender'?

The very early ones were still badged Fender and are worth a bit more than the Squier ones.

Black is a bit less desireable than sunburst, so you may take a few quid off for that - but I'd agree that £550-600 would not be an unreasonable price to expect - don't forget the Evil Bay fees will eat up 10% if that is the way that you decide to go!

By 1983 all JVs were badged Squier rather Fender Squier Series.  I also think that all solid colours (usually with basswood bodies) are Squier rather than the earlier label (which had sen bodies to give some grain under the sunburst).

I got Jon to put some SD single coil sized humbuckers in my JV (which had lost most of its original parts over the years) and it rocks.
