Well, at the time of typing I got this late yersterday evening, but still! :P
Anyway, I don't really post stuff like this a lot, and probably wouldn't have done if the cab was what I initially thought it was regarding the year it was made .etc, as it has been seen before, albeit with limited information.
Anyway, I wanted to replace my 2x12 with a simple 4x12 to match my red Jubilee head, and decided upon a Marshall 1960a, having owned a 2061CX 2x12 before and liking it quite a bit. I sold it however as it sadly was just a tad too small width wise, pity really as other than that it rocked.
I had seen somoene selling a brand new red 1960a on eBay, in which on Monday night I agreed a deal with the seller. He came over to deliver it to me late yesterday, superb to deal with.

Anyway, this is where things got interesting, or surprising for me. You see I originally thought that since it was mentioned as being a special order, I thought it was one of those 1960a's Marshall did in around 1995 or so when they made a special run of JCM 800 2203 heads in red with matching cabinets. So if that was so I wouldn't have posted as there is already information on the net about that, albeit not much I'll admit.
This where I got surprised, as the seller told me that this cab along with a few other red 1960's were a special order for his shop from Marshall, where they got 6 and sold 2 off, one of them being to me. While this probably isn't the most interesting thing to talk about and read, I just thought I'd try and help by shedding a bit more information about some of the less common variations Marshall occassionally seem to make of their stuff. That, and the fact you gotta love a bit of red! :P
I'm looking forward to testing it, even though it comes with G12T 75 speakers which many seem to dislike, we'll see what happens, it might work given the Jubilee is a darker voiced amp, but we'll see.
