That looks like one seriously nice guitar! I think I would have gone for some covered pickups though, but that's just my taste.

Thanks  :D

All customers spec down to the 60s style body, 70s neck joint, Ebony fingerboard with M.O.P inlays. Even the pick-up colour.   :D

My new logo is made from Ebony inlaid with Pearl and Abalone with a real silver outer ring and I Garnet in real silver.  :D

Wow .... that looks very tasty. The fingerboard binding looks much better than on my Gibson SG.

Well that sure is the difference with a custom made guitar, I do put a silly amount of hours into my guitars to make sure they are perfect. Not just in looks but to play as well  :D
All my guitars have stainless steel frets and that is the proper Gibson binding :D

I've been looking forward to seeing this ever since you first mentioned it, looks terrific!  I like the ebony board, and the frets/binding look perfect.  :D

I've probably asked this before ( ), but does the purpleheart retain its colour, or does it go brown over time?

And while I'm asking questions   :

Is it a heavy wood?
What's the tone like compared with mahogany?
What kind of fnish did you use?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

Check under the bed. You've probably got something made of purpleheart that you've forgotten about  :orcass:
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

looks awesome with just the smallest of tweaks from the SG design to still look classically styled.

That's amazing.  Best looking SG I've seen.

What make is the bridge?  Looks really interesting.

    Pwned, as they say.

But no, no purpleheart.

That's a Gotoh 510.

I've never tried one, but they certainly look nice - a bit too "modern" for my Juniors and things, though.
