I don't like quilt or purple on guitars so the Lion isn't to my tastes at all, but the tele looks great :)

I totally expected it to be a marmite NGD. A purple quilt is always going to be a love it or hate it thing. Then you have sticking a HB in a Tele which is heresy to some ;)

Like Tom, I'm loving the Tele more than the Lion.  Lose the bottom E and tune to open G!

Well, that is bloody lovely indeed!! Excellent choices, good sir.

Lots of those Feline's on the page look lovely. I for one am gassing hard for that single-pickup, hardtail Panther thingy.

I think a Gogol Bordello quote is needed here: "Start wearing purple"!

Love both guitars very much!

It's a really nice guitar - I'm surprised nobody has snapped it up yet
Alder body
Maple neck with Brazillian rosewood board (we'd had the board over 20 years waiting to be used)
Dunlop 6100 frets
Sperzel tuners, Earvana nut, Schaller bridge

Tell you what - if you wanted to buy it I'd swap the Duncan to a BKP of your choice for no extra charge
I'll keep that offer open till end of October........although it's first come first served :D

Nice :D

Like others, I'm not sure about purple on my guitars (although it is a colour I like on my missus!), but that Lion does look fabulous.

The bigger surprise for me is the Baja. I am one of the "purists" mentioned . I definitely don't go for humbuckers on traditional strats, and that is probably pure prejudice and ludditism on my part... But on teles it's more of a case that I did try neck humbuckers years ago and I just could not get on with it (I found myself having to tweak the amp when I switched pickup, either that or not bother using one of the pickups at all during a gig).

But that Baja looks very nice like that and, after the pickup discussions a few days back, I do have a feeling that Flat 50 and Mule might actually work for me.

Out of these two though, if I was in the same room with them both, it's the Lion I'd gravitate towards with my sweaty paws...

Excellent stuff :D

The Baja looks excellent and most definitely gets my juices flowing. I'm in agreement with Andy re strats and teles. Humbuckers and strats don't do anything for me, put one in the neck of a tele though and I am interested.

If I made another modification to my Baja this would most definitely be it.
I think I hate being indecisive.

You could always go "halfway" and fit a minibucker, guys.  Works very nicely as a Tele neck pickup.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Well, I can try and console myself by saying I have enough guitars, and certainly can't pull off a purple one.
