NPD. Madness? This is Subdecay!
« on: October 06, 2011, 08:53:41 AM »
First foray into buying stompboxes. Leaning towards stuff that's just too f**ked up to build ;) This thing is mental, brilliant, bonkers. Not sure it's entirely usable (seems a bit of a waste to just use it as an autowah with the other stuff it can do), but you can get actually great nonsense out of it. Fuzz and delay makes it even better...

Can't demo it myself so here's Burg's and Brian doing just that:

I'm often surprised Jonathan and Wez still get GAS and buy guitars for themselves.. their choices are often quite interesting.

LOL, just had the thing playing itself. Had a nice purcussive back-beat thing going on with the strings muted, then just moving around on the fretboard was changing the pitch. Barking!

Then again that was guitar into lunar module, into subdecay, into boobtube, into amp with a delay and reverb on in the loop. Trippy spacey goodness. Now to hit it with some octave down... I LOVE this thing! SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

Currently watching a MuRF (don't you buggers bid on it!) and trying to snag a WMD Geiger Counter for sensible money...

Mwahahaha!

That sounds so very very wrong....and so freaking amazing^^

You need to find a way to record that, even if the quality is not supreme.

nice

the subdecay stuff's meant to be really good (and one of the few people not just churning out clones or lightly-modded clones), but i've never tried any of their pedals :(

ahem... sorry...

You know you want to, woody bits all those sliders and dials, it's like a controller from Blake 7 except better put together!

I'm just waiting for one of their Cluster Flux to appear second hand.

Nice!  I nearly tried a WMD Super Fatman the other day, very nice but too much tweaking.

These look a little simpler but still a tweakers delight!

Speaking of pedal madness and WMD, I really like these.  Check the Junky Clav at the end....
