Would Tyger pickups look stupid in a sunburst Les Paul?
« on: October 17, 2011, 01:48:08 PM »
Quite often I see the pickups on the shop page and dislike them, but then when I see them inside a guitar they look amazing. I'm after a way of making my Les Paul look a bit more interesting, rather than like every other Les Paul. I thought the Tygers looked a bit silly, but after seeing them in a guitar I changed my mind.

I made a mockup in a 2 mins with Photoshop using a pic of my guitar and a pic of the Tygers from Google Images. I didn't bother adjusting the white balance:

Thoughts? :D

Maybe if itīs your LP in black finish but I donīt like it with sunburst...I tried chrome cover/nickel bolts Aftermath in my LP (sunburst as well) but with two rows of bolts looks bad on LP R8...Classic look needs classic components so I would better go with aged nickel but itīs just my opinion...
have CWP,MM...had AM,CS,VHII,NB,PK,HD...

Yeah I think you're right. I went with aged nickel instead. I'm sure they will look great!

Aged nickel I would favour, but I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to guitaricons like a Les Paul.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
