Upgrade time coming soon. Which smartphone?

So I'm due an upgrade in December which couldn't come any sooner. My Blackberry Curve is starting to break and I'm considering going for a smartphone.

Here's what I've considered so far:

Samsung Galaxy SII
Htc Sensation
Motorola Atrix

Considering I'm going to be paying around £30 a month I'd like something that's worth paying that much for (I regret getting the Blackberry and did so about 1 month after I got it). I'm not bothering with an Iphone as I don't like the fact that you can't change the battery if you need to and they're not exactly robust (hence why I don't own any Apple products).

Something with a decent camera, decent video recorder, I'm not too fussed about apps, robust, decent internet speeds and is easy to use.

What say you?

I would go for the galaxy SII.

I have a galaxy S and it is an absolute top phone and outperforms nearly every single core phone on the market with and the galaxy SII is just more of the same but better.

I havent had a single issue with it in the year or so that ive had it. Its a good solid phone with an excellent screen and also excellent third party support from the modding communities

I've got the SII - the only niggle is the power button held down reboots the phone, even with the keypad lock on.  Annoying sometimes when it happens, but otherwise the phone is truly excellent.

Sounds great. What's it like for texting? I wasn't too keen on texting on the Iphone, it was too easy to make mistakes

Yeah I've a Galaxy S as well. I have zero interest in phones and apps and nonsense but it does it's job fine for the plainly functional stuff I use it for. And it's got a handy wee thing for typing where you just drag your finger across the keys rather than having to tap them individually which is right useful for texting with one hand fast.

I also use Swype exclusively i am so glad it got included in the latest custom firmware im using as it wasnt on the last.

Don't get the HTC as they aren't going to be upgrading the firmware to the new ice cream sandwich. Side sugesstion to anyone reading, don't get a blackberry! RIM the owners sales are down so much that there are rumours that if it continues within a year they will be going pop!

Another Galaxy S2 user here, recently got it, 15 a month for 1GB, unlimited texts and 300mins from Orange. That was after I mentioned to them that I'd just bought one for 15 a month (having paid 280 up front...) from a website with unlimited internet, and 300 mins/texts on T-mobile, and if they could match it I'd stay with them and give the other phone to my wife. They didn't charge me the 280 up front, and 1GB is great!

Have to say, both my wife and I are loving the phone. Upgraded from a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which was great for listening to MP3s on my walk to work, but otherwise couldn't hold a candle to this thing.
Definitely 2 thumbs up for it here!
There is a new one just announced you may be interested by though: the Samsung Nexus Prime - that looks very good too and you might be able to get that around 30 a month possibly :)
