Tele bridge with F'tron neck...silly idea?

For a future Tele-type project, I'm thinking about putting a Tele bridge pickup with something Filter'tron like (though probably in standard humbucker size) in the neck.

Is this likely to work tone-wise, or is it a bad idea? I realise the f'tron type pickups generally have pretty low output, so I'd probably use one of the lower-wound bridge pickups (Country Boy, or maybe BG 55.)

I shouldn't know why not. The Filtertrons are twangy for a humbucker, so should nice go with a telebridge.

Sounds good to me.  Fano make quite a few guitars with a Tele bridge pickup and a TV Jones neck.

I don't think you need to use a low-output bridge pickup.  Some Filtertrons may have very low DC resistance but as I understand it the specs are very misleading.

Some Trussarts have that setup too, and in clips sound great  :)

I have a Powertron in the bridge of a Telemaster style guitar and it's a lot louder than its DC rating would have you believe.
