i don't mean to be vulgar, but "gulp" i just saw how much one of these costs.  it better be good!  :)  it looks truly spectacular.  i still prefer the M.E.'s look myself, it just looks like it came from the 50's, this is like a modern version.  i wish i owned something with Mammoth ivory on it :)

Cheers guys, and yes it should be special for what it costs.  However, it is so I'm dead chuffed  :)

It's definitely a guitar for the tone-hounds out there.  The differences from my ME and even the DGT are reasonably subtle, but even Mrs Twinfan commented on how good it sounded and could even describe the differences.  I think she's been hanging around me far too long  :lol:

It's the same with the resonance, playability and overall feel.  If you play in a punk band through a solid state combo this probably isn't the guitar for you!  It's an Eric Johnson/Joe Bonamassa thing, now if only I could play like them.....

I don't get the whole Dumble thing - they just sound like Fenders to me.

Correct.  Unless PRS announce something else that I just HAVE to have  :roll:  Given how unique this guitar is, how personal it is to me, and how much it cost, I'm at a loss to see what else I'd be interested in.  Never say never though  ;)

My thoughts last week were that I'd take it straight out to gig on Saturday night, but I can't.  I'm scared I'll ding it  :oops:  I'll have to wait until I've added some wear by playing it at home a bit first...

I think woods like mahogany and korina can look just as good as maple, in their way.  There's just something about a nice bit of wood grain....
