ok so im interested in buying a second hand laney lc30 but noticed it was an "original" not a mkII. just wondered does anyone what exactly the difference is between the two models?

i think i heard somewhere that the original has a worse speaker, but i'm not certain.

lol i assure you that at 5'10" i am normally proportioned in every way, i merely felt the "big" would make an appropriate prefix to cover up my insecurities and inadequacies to an all-believing internet audience.

but i digest.

the original is brighter and has a bit less gain than the mkII to my ears, bearing in mind however that i have only played the mkII for a pretty short period of time.

ok so ive spotted something fishy.... big steve you can probably help with this....

i was stupid not to notice this before i bought it but there are two pics of the control panel of the lc30 i bought.... one of the normal lc30 layout the other one a weird one that i can't see on any laney amp at all... dont know why the hell there was a pic of it on the listing... bit worried now :?

the one of the whole amp is the proper layout then the thin pic of just the fascia is the dodgy one. anyone got any ideas???

i spose its possible. at first i thought he was posting two picturs to compare the original and mkII but soon realised that the second picture wasnt the mkII lol.
