New parrot day!
« on: November 06, 2011, 02:22:50 PM »
I have wanted one of these for ages! Friend of the family didn't have time to look after her parrot so I've adopted the little feathered freak. He's a blue-crowned conure - the photo is terrible because he's scared of the camera (and everything else in the room, including me) but he's chowing down on his favourite treat, a dried chilli.

Second pic isn't mine but that's what he'll look like if I can ever get within 20 metres of him with a camera.

Nice finish!
I'd say it'll sound great with a set of mules. Post some sound clips!
It wasn't a mistake, it was chromaticism, I swear.

Are you mental?

Back to the Parrot, why don't you call him Chilli Plops.

He's astonishingly quiet so far but I'm expect a squawking fit soon.

Nope, just got a lame sense of humour.

Hmmm... Never been a fan.  This is me in Cyprus this year.

Yours looks quite nice though.  You could call him "Trilogy".  Because he's "Suite"...

Boom, boom.

You should teach him how to say, "Help! They've turned me into a parrot!"

If he were mine, I'd name him Steven.

Well he's been here 5 hours and now he's happy to take chillis and monkey nuts from me. Still no mad squawking frenzy, that's a surprise.

Parrots are ace. Everyone should own a parrot.

Well, if he likes CHilli and takes Monkey nuts you should combine the names of his favourite foods and call him Chinkey.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Although it could be embarrassing if you happen to be calling him just as some visitors arrive from Beijing......

We've named him Momo ... mainly because his previous owner called him Moses, that wasn't staying and I wanted something that sounded similar so he stands a chance of recognising his name while I train him up.

Here's Momo in all his glory, eating his favourite treat.
