Anyone using Kies to synchronise their Samsung smartphone?

I think it's ok. It could be better but after having a terrible Blackberry Curve with no BBM or internet for over a year it's great to be able to transfer files without the need for wires and I can back everything up to my laptop.

Is it really that bad? I'm thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy S wifi media player thingy as an alternative to the iPod Touch 4. Looks like it uses Kies. Surely it can't be much worse than blackberry desktop manager?
