USB Interface Issue
« on: November 18, 2011, 09:49:00 PM »
I was feeling like doing some recoding the other day. Wired all my rig as usual. Turned on the amp, the laptop... loaded the recording software, create a new project, create a track, arm th erecording, press the red button... ... and nada. The laptop wouldn't register even the most violently strum power chord.

So I tried to check the connection, moving the cable and what happen is the only signal that gets through is some type pink noise when I move the cable between the mic and the usb box. I have also checked settings in Windows and the software (I am using Reaper BTW). Everything was as it used to be but no sound.

It sounds to me like the USB box went under without so much of a swan song, but maybe I am missing something. Any thoughts? IS there still hope for this piece of kit?

When that happens with my soundcard, it's almost always because I've got the input set to CD instead of Line In. A couple of times I've had to reinstall the drivers for the soundcard but I've never known one totally cr@p out for no reason.

Sounds like you have to reinstall the driver. If you have windows 7, then get used to do this once in a while, since those auto updates screw things up from time to time.
Your music will never be as hard as this!

So simple and yet one had to think about it. Many thanks dear sir. Driver re-installed and I am up and running again  :D

Hi
Probably not, unless you're running it from a windows base remote.

Requires computer with Window XP or newer Windows operating
system and a USB port. Not compatible with pre Luxe 2.0 boards.

"Luxe USB Interface Application - This new Windows based software provides three levels of communication with the Luxe 2.0. Luxe firmware updates can be flashed into the Luxe 2.0 circuit board without having to send it in to a Luxe Prestige Dealer. Using substitution-permutation network based encoding, the Luxe 2.0 relies on NSA top-secret approved encryption to ensure that only legitimate Luxe software is loaded via the USB connection. The USB Interface Application features bi-directional settings transfer to read or change any of the Luxes 19 user-adjustable settings with an easy to use one-page menu. The USB Interface Application also allows for the installation of new voice sets into the Luxe 2.0."
