New camera day( well yesterday was anyway). For many years I have wanted to get a new camera and having had the recent rare experience of finding myself a little flush, decided to get myself a DSLR. I bought a Nikon D5100 and I am wandering around the house taking pictures of things-the cats are all hiding as if from the paparazzi.

Unfortunately Mrs 38th has a busy day for me today so I probably won't get a lot of time to mess around today and of course I cannot comply with Fernando's POIDH protocol. You will just have to beleive me.

Fortunately the manual isn't too hard and I have grounding in old school photography( and if I am stuck, my Brother is a professional).

The best thing you could do is buy a copy of Lightroom - it's amazing... :-)

Sounds like an exciting new purchase Steve. Cameras these days are bloody incredible!

Nice one, I must admit I'm starting to get tempted by photography myself.

Slippery slope to getting obsessed with glass and the mounting debt chasing the ones you simply must have!
There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary.
Those who do and those who do not.
