Do you actually want to keep the active EQ thingy?  Maybe you could just replace it with a coil split or something.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Nah the EQ is going! i will figure something to replace it with.

On my other RGA that had the same EQ i changed it for a killswitch.

Splitting options are another good use that i shall look into depending whether i decide to go active or passive with it

Tried the ibanez S-series 7 string the other week, was nice! The 5 position switch did parallel on the neck pickup, lovely for cleans, rather have that than the daft EQ switch ;)

Definitely in my other RGA and my RGD i replaced the 3way witha  5way to get that exact wiring setup as i love the neck parrallel setting

Nice one indeed, but the eq thingy...
I always wanted a guitar with a Buckethead killswitch (arcade button style).
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

Good idea :p Maybe you should go for a "solo switch" that makes the pickups bypass the volume knob. It's a lovely little trick to get a bit more bite out of the pickups.

Oh, and yeah.. The stock pickups on the RGA series are bar none the worst pickups I have ever tried. Even for Ibanez stockers, they're abnormally shite.

Nice quitar on nice sheets!

haha the sheets are the missus' choice she hasn't failed me yet as every set she buys seems to compliment my guitars in some way!

Sorry to chime in a bit late, but I would say: keep both!  :)
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
