Very underrated album, that one. Should have been a hit.

I'd completely forgotten about that "supergroup" - I didn't recognise the singer, had to go and look him up, even though I've got one of his band's albums.

Tracii Guns.  There's a guitarist I never did "get".
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Michael Schenker was one of those guitarists that really made me want to play guitar and one of my proudest moments remains when I first managed to play Rock Bottom. At his best he was in a class few others could match so it's a pity he's been adversely affected by drink for much of his career. Listening to these clips made me listen to some Schenker again and remind myself just how good he could be so I thought I'd post a link to one of my favourites:

I wasn't wild about Shark Island although I liked them enough to own the album, but apparently AXL Rose stole most of his stage moves from the singer : Richard Black.

It was also around this time that Schenker had kind of  joined Ratt - standing in for Robin Crosby
Pretty good with Warren De Martini and Schenker able to solo their asses off

The album is OK (I got a CD reissue of it some years back), but the single "Paris Calling" is a great track.

I've seen that before, but always a good view! I never noticed how Michael pinches the lower horn of the V between his legs. I've seen Dave Mustaine doing that, too.

Its quite natural with a Vee - I found myself doing that without thinking about it.

btw, Vees do utterly rule.  They're light, look cool and sound every bit as meaty as any other Gibson.  My main gigging Les Paul of some 17 years is now my backup.

Here is a rare clip of Shark Island with Axl Rose and Tracii Guns (When both were in GNR) doing an encore cover tune

Yes they do! I've got a couple of lower level Schenker V's (Dean and Epiphone) and I'd love to get a top notch V.
I think I'll have to talk to Felineguitars :)
