I can't find it on the Egnater site. Must not be out yet, but it is handsome. I'd imagine a $1000 price tag though. At least you'd be able to swap those modules with the cheaper single mode Randalls if you wanted to. There's also some guy who's been doing some serious mod work on those. Can't remember his name, but I do remember a Diezel module available.

There's some modders of the MTS modules around. www.salvationmods.com has a Diezel mod called Benzin which I own. I have never played a Diezel, but the Benzin sounds great. There's also http://www.jadedfaithmods.com/

The Egnater E2 hasn't been released yet and there's no release date on it for now as far as I know, but hopefully it's going to hit the streets in 2012. If it does I'm getting my little paws on one pronto  :D

I have a Roadhouse and, as much as I love it, I don't think it's what you're looking for. It won't switch between sparkling clean and gainy lead sounds. It's a single channel amp with a gain boost and I think it's more suited to players that want a fair bit of hair in their 'clean' sounds and a great punchy vintage-ish lead sound. It's great but I don't think it will give you what you want. PM me if you want further info.

yeah, overlooked that one. Bogner is indeed no bargain. I don't know if you like the Bogner Alchemists. They are affordable. Or, as others mentioned, a used Carvin Legacy. The Hughes & Kettner Trilogy sounds very decent and you could get one 600-700, if you can find one. Maybe the Hughes & Kettner Switchblade. it is quite versatile. I know, most are EL34, but maybe worth to check out.

That Line 6 DT 25, pod HD and Variax combo is awesome.  I like my Vypyr but this makes it look ordinary.  If I ever get the coin then that's what will be on my list.

This is what im thinking of. The E2. I don't know if it was ever released but it looks like a nifty little box. perfect product to use with the modular stuff. If you want versatile than that seems like a cost effective little tool.

We're still waiting patiently for it some 5 years after it was supposed to be out
Fantastic concept - allows you to use your amps preamp channels too and adds 2modules = 4 more channels to your amp setup.

I think the modular series may rear it's head again in the next year - following the success of the tweaker
After all the modular is the tweaker taken to it's logical conclusion

As you know I am a fan

I might suggest a Randall RM100 or a Lynchbox or Hammet modular amp if you can find one
Then you can choose 3 modules of your choice and completely have your cake and eat it
And over time if you want a different flavour all you have to do is slide out the module and slip another in
There are some GREAT modified modules from Salvation mods as well
