Some info I found on the Fender forum.

Quote
Having actually played a SuperSonic last week, I can say that the "Burn" channel is VERY Marshall-esque. It is much more flexible than that, however, with two separate gain controls. You can take the "Burn" channel from just a little bit of overdrive into pure saturation with a hundred or more stops inbetween.
Someone asked about comparing it to the HRD... I had one of those and compared to the SuperSonic it's not in the same game. The SS has more "real-tube"-like qualities in it's sound. Sag, depth, and fatness. I liked the sound of my HRD's clean, but it was still too sterile for me. THe "drive" channel was much too harsh. THe SS has organic cleans and smooth distortion.

I just got home from NAMM, and had a chance to listen to a Fender rep demo the SS head with 2x12 bottom yesterday using a HSS Strat. I was pretty impressed with the sounds he got from it ranging from sparkly sweet Fender clean to big shouldered Bassman semi-crunch to some hi gain in the Marshall/Mesa territory. I look forward to sitting down with the combo version when it's available locally, and see how it compares to the head/cabinet version.

wOW - For Fender amp fans the Blonde/Oxblood 4x12 stack looks the business - like a 60s showman.  Bet it'll cost a packet!

For the 112 combo Fender has a $1500 list price. On the street they'll be just under a grand. Music discounters will probably have them in the 800 - 900 dollar price bracket.

And it has five (5!) preamp tubes.

If it's as good as they claim, I want the 112 combo and stack it on my old 2X12. It will be a monster.

Hmmm, I wonder if it comes in tweed?

Looks like it's going to be ok at lots but great at nothing. But time will tell...

It does! Not really helping am I? That GAS urge has started to build has it not?!

Fender have done cascading gain before, anyone remember the Prosonic?

Interesting amp though. If it sounds as good as it looks then I will want a head version. You cannot beat Fender clean tones.

My local Fender dealer here in the States went to the NAMM show and said it's the best sounding Fender stock high gain sound he was ever heard.  The clean sounds very good and it's very cool to be able to switch to the two different clean sounds. He is VERY hard to please and said he wants one.  He said we should see them them by April. He's got a tweed head and 2x12 cab + a 112 combo on the way.

Did anyone notice that the 112 has 6 12AX7's but the head only has 5?

The only thing I don't like is that they are using Vintage 30's, but that is easily changed.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to check one out at the upcoming Musik Messe in Germany.

(Rumor has it Lars Ulrich will be there too, btw)

I find it to be overall a harsh sounding speaker with not the best breakup (I have been using it in Fender amps and I seem to remember that it doesn't like Fenders -so interesting to see they are using it now).   I replaces it with a Tone Tubby Hempcone in one, and an Alnico Eminence in the other.  I have just got some of the Patriot and Redcoats to try too.
