Many thanks to a certain forum member for bringing me one of these. *doffs cap* After the post office charged me £13.50 for the priviledge of charging me VAT (I'm sure their charge only used to be £8), I should have got you to bring the other too! I just had no idea how long the other would have taken to get to you. Still, it's bloody awesome, c'est la vie.

What is there to say about the Rainbow Machine, I've been having a good play with it the last couple of days and I can quite honestly say that if you want to create some 70's TV sci-fi or early video game sound effects, look no further. Occasionally you will find a setting that can actually be played... Though what's the fun in that?! It is, without a shadow of a doubt the maddest pedal I now own. The manual doesn't exactly make it any clearer. I love the description of the magic knob which, and I quote, 'adjusts the weirdness of the effect'. Which sums it up really. PGS demo here with a very confused looking Andy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRtm8GaarLA

These demos Burgs did sold me on the WET Reverb and it's every bit as impressive as it sounds. Clean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XdbEKKgAdk Extreme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8tR9UI8bfo

I may have to put a bubble bobble or rodland decal on the rainbow machine. It seems appropriate.

The first thought that came into my mind was that the Rainbow Machine needed a Bubble Bobble reference on it somewhere. I lost many hours of my youth playing that game!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Haven't we all  :D

A Bubble Bobble reference would be cool, but even more suiting would be a Rainbow Island reference (I think that game was actually launched as Bubble Bobble 2, but I'm not totally sure).

I thought it was just released as Rainbow Islands. Could be wrong though.

EDIT - here it is:

That's a nice couple, good for some weird spacey sounds.
