thanks all, not only do they look amazing, they sound absolutely amazing! All Birch ply, dovetailed construction built to Orange cabinet cimensions. They are soo tight and punchy, the low end clarity is absolutely unbeatable.

I think that is the first time I ever saw a 6x12"....what impedance does that thing have?

That rig will be great for those Coldplay cover tunes you play

Looks great, but the 6x12 has me more intrigued - bet that is a tone-monster; and a b*itch to move.

Yeah its a monster, its 4 fane medusa 100's and 2 eminence swamp thangs. It runs at 8ohms. The 612 is a biotch to move thats why i leave thatone at my studio. The 412 is for home. I bring em both to gigs

I heard VHT amps are rather picky on the cabs you match them with, would love to hear if you share this opinion or have any thoughts on it

I've heard that as well. I've played a number of different cabinets with it and have liked a lot of the more common ones. My brother guitarist plays one through an 80's Marshal 1960A and he was borrowing a recto cab for a bit which sounded killer. I used to own a Carvin 400 watter and it was also killer. However when I first go my Emperor, I ended up doing some serious soul searching with speakers as I did not like the 4x Eminence Man-O-Wars I had loaded it with. With the swampthangs on the bottom however sounded great. It seemed to sound best with speaker cabinets loaded with Vintage 30's or speakers voiced similar to Vintage 30's.  I read about Fane Speakers and that they sounded like Vintage 30's with no speaker breakup and a fatter tighter bottom end and decided to take a leap of faith. I my 6x12 is loaded with 4x Fane Medusa 100's and 2x Eminence swamp thangs and havnt looks elsewhere since. The 4x12 Is now also loaded with the 4x Fane Medusa 100's which I had in my Sunn 412L, before i placed the order.

Approved!

Not heard emperors, but heard good things about them.

The CL is my favourite amp. I run mine through a stock ubercab. Great success.
