Need a new rack multi-FX, what are my options?

My TC Electronic G-Sharp has started playing up and with a gig coming up in mid-Jan I need to get a replacement sorted fairly soon  :(

The TC G-Major 2 is £449 which I'll pay if I absolutely have to, but are there any other options?  I need something that can be MIDI controlled and has delay, chorus and reverb.  It must be able to do chorus and reverb simultaneously and be a pro-quality unit.

Any suggestions????

Im personally not a fan of the TC stuff. While its good its nowhere near as good as the rocktron stuff,

Oh the rocktron xpression also keeps your signal entirely analogue if you arent using the gate feature.

and is a fair bit cheaper than the gmaj 2

I have just a normal G-Major and have always been happy enough with it. Not overly expensive and there's plenty of them around, so should be easy enough to get a hold of.

G Major 2 should do the trick

If you don't mind used, you could pickup an Intellifex as already suggested or the original G Major

It's not that old and has hardly been used. Might be worth having a word with TC and see if they'll sort it as a good will thing?

Looks like it has a 2 year warranty and I think it was bought in March 09... Still gotta be worth a punt (you don't get owt if you don't ask). It never left the house all the time I had it and it's supposed to be giggable.

Been there done that a lot with 'DC!  These Private Stocks are so good though that it seems a crime to hide them behind effects.  I may well do this month's gig 'naked' to see how it sounds.

It's going to be around £100 to have the G-Sharp serviced/fixed, so I think I may as well invest the cash into an upgrade instead.

Right, decision made.

The reverb on the G-Sharp is still OK so I'll use it just for that.  I have a nice Malekko Chorus that I can bring back into service and I can live without delay.  A bit of a re-org with my RJM RG-16 'switcheroo' and I'm gig ready.  It seems pointless paying £450 for something I'll use a tiny fraction of the features of.

I don't believe it - I seem to have talked myself out of a GAS purchase!  :o  :lol:
