They're nice pickups but I personally found they're best in 335s and SGs playing the softer side of things.

It's a Cold Sweat set or Painkiller bridge/CS neck for this one I think.  I want fat and punchy with a bit of crisp on top...

Then the RY is an option too?
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

If you want ceramic, the CS set is a good combo.   You could look for a Dragon I bridge too, if you wanted to keep PRS pickups.   You could also go with the C-Bomb and either Abraxas or CS neck.   Not sure if the RY's would be too bright in that guitar.
So many pickups, so little time

I have a set of nickel covered PRS Dragons (originals, not the IIs) if it's something you'd be interested in?

The Bernie's a nice, Keith.  I think this SC has a Marsden vibe about it.

I was over at a mate's earlier and played a CUstom 24 that had 59/09 pickups in it and they sounded really good.  It looks like Black Dogs are the closest spec-wise to them, so I think they're now in the running.

Arrrrgghh!  Too many choices!

Well I ordered Black Dogs via Jon @ Feline last week, and they're ready for collection this weekend.  Thanks BKP!

I'll get them fitted ready for a gig next weekend and see how they get on.  I'm looking forward to owning a set of BKPs again!  ( )

It was great to see you too Jon, and Philly of course  :)

Black Dogs are in and they sound really, really good in this guitar.  I have it sporting 11s and tuned to Drop D, and it sounds as I has hoping it would.  I'm looking forward to gigging it on Sat!

That looks great Dave! I'm not that familiar with Black Dogs, will be interested in your thoughts on them when you have gigged.

Would like to have been around yesterday - maybe some other time!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Looks great, but I think you are going to have to put another zebra pickup in the middle there!  Out-of-phase Mule maybe?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I quite like it as Phil, the middle is only used with the others anyway...

It looks nice and probably sounds nice as well  :D

I would have gone for a reverse zebra for the bridge though, but that's just me.

Oh... And welcome back in the BKP family

It is reverse zebra on the bridge - normal BKP zebra has cream on the screw coil - like this

The OCD person in me needs to see a twin screw coil reverse zebra coil in the middle too Dave - just to balance things up
